"Welcome to the Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross has a long and distinguished history of providing relief to victims of disaster, preparing critical response to disaster, and providing training and education to individuals enabling them to proactively avert and engage emergency situations.

The Hoosier Heartland Chapter is much honored to provide these very critical services to our surrounding 7 county delivery area. Whether it is a family fire disaster, flood, shelter or mass care offering, the Hoosier Heartland Chapter is there, supporting you, our community neighbors, at a time when you are at your most vulnerable.

Without the services delivered by your American Red Cross our community, as we know it, would not be sufficiently educated, prepared, and served in time of significant need.

Numerous opportunities exist for you to become involved with your local Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross. Whether your involvement is as a disaster volunteer, instructor, special events volunteer or financial contributor, your support and assistance is vital and greatly appreciated.

Monty Brooks - Chief Operating Officer/Associate Executive Director Monty oversees the daily operations of the Chapter. These duties include but are not limited to staff relations, project development and various other community involvements.

Jeri Garringer - Director of Service Awareness & Special Projects Jeri oversees all Red Cross service delivery to Blackford, Jay, and Randolph Counties. She also is involved with many chapter events and fundraising projects.

Julie M. Hankins - Director of Emergency Services & Volunteers Julie oversees all disaster, volunteer and military services for our 7 county area, coordinating all disaster and SAF (Service to Armed Forces) volunteers, including all D.S.H.R. (Disaster Services Human Resources) national volunteers.

Joyce Huff - Customer Service Representative Joyce provides customer service and assistance to chapter clients. She assists in many ways in various departments, such as Military, Emergency, Health and Safety, and Volunteer Services, as needed.

Lenella Maxwell - Administrative & Financial Coordinator   Lenella supports various administrative aspects of the chapter including reports to the National Red Cross and other agencies.  Lenella also oversees accounts payables and receivables.

Marvilla Noles - Emergency Services Assistant Marvilla serves as administrative assistant in the Emergency Services department. She coordinates and prepares for all training classes, schedules and coordinates all on-call teams, provides military and disaster casework, and assists volunteers after hours with casework and disaster relief delivery.

Mark A. Slusher - Director Communications Mark facilitates all internal and external communications and publications for the chapter and also serves as the chapter spokesperson. He is an active member of the national Red Cross Rapid Response Team in which he serves a both a spokesman and videographer on large scale disasters on the national level.
